# Can I preorder only specific variants (e.g. one size)?

Yes. The app supports variant-level product assignment, so you can put only certain sizes or colors on preorder while others remain available for normal purchase.

### How to set up variant-level preorder

1. Open your campaign → **Products** tab
2. Click **Add products**
3. Search for the product
4. **Expand the product** to see all variants
5. Select only the variants you want on preorder (e.g. "Black / XL" and "Black / XXL")
6. Click **Save**

### Real-world example

Suppose you sell a T-shirt in sizes S, M, L, XL. Only XL is sold out:

* Assign **only the XL variant** to a preorder campaign
* The XL variant shows the Preorder button
* S, M, L still show the normal "Add to cart" button

### What if I add the entire product instead of specific variants?

When you select the product without expanding to variant level, **all variants** of that product join the campaign. Use variant-level selection if you only want a subset.

A variant can only belong to **one published campaign** at a time. If you try to add a variant that's already in another active campaign, you'll see a conflict error.
