# App Embed Activation

**This is the most commonly missed step.** The Preorder button will not appear on your storefront until the app embed is activated.

### How to activate

1. Open the app → go to **Dashboard**
2. Check the **App Embed Status** banner at the top
3. If it shows **Inactive**, click **Activate App Embed** — this opens Shopify Theme Editor directly at the right screen
4. Click **Save** in Theme Editor

Prefer to do it manually? Go to Shopify Admin → **Online Store** → **Themes** → **Customize** → **App embeds** → toggle **TA Preorder** On → **Save**.

### Confirm it's working

After activation, verify all three:

* ✅ Dashboard shows **App Embed Status: Active**
* ✅ Preorder button appears on configured product pages
* ✅ Notify me form appears on out-of-stock products (if Back in Stock is enabled)

### Button still not showing after activation?

* Make sure you clicked **Save** in Theme Editor
* Check that a Preorder campaign is **Published**
* Verify the product is assigned to an active campaign

**Using a custom or headless theme?**

App embed may not work out of the box. Contact support via **Live Chat** in the app dashboard or email <support@tech-arms.io> for manual setup help.
